Converting Copas?

  • Hi, i've found and old pair of copa mundials in my garage which arent in bad condition and was just wondering if anyone knows how i could convert a pair so they look like the ones on this website: http://www.convertedcopas.com/ ??

    Anyone had any experience of doing it and what i would need to do it?

    Also whats the best way to clean the bottoms of copas as mine have gone a horrible colour?

    i was looking at taking the stripes off my copas by unstitching them, but I heard that it can ruin the boot. Has anyone tried this....did it work or go horribly wrong??

  • I know you can buy pairs from justsocca.com if you need them in the USA because this site you have listed doesn't ship outside the UK.

    I know you have to file down the studs, then drill out the outsole and add washers and the like to the bottom of the boot.

    I think it would be a safer bet just getting them from justsocca though. I spoke to them in the past and they said they would make me a pair on conversions with just six studs as I am not a fan of the World Cup model because they fit so different to the Copa's

    I got them from a professional team so I don't know how they were convertered but it looks like they've sawn off the stud, drilled a hole then put half of the stud inside and strewed it into the outer part of the stud.
