Evidence for a heritable predisposition for death due to influenza

    So, what would the read be on the following data? My grandfather died in Dec, 1918 in the second wave. He died at home, and his three sons all entered the room and stood in the door way (wearing gauze masks) when he died. None of them got the flu. (Probably just coincidence ;)
