Status Miles - Question
Printed out 2 boarding passes at the machine and had the gate agent scan both.
Will I get status miles credited for both flights or just one?
To answer the 'why would anyone do that?'; I had latitude pass flight credits that were about to expire.
Thanks.
Would not the same principle apply? Otherwise, come to think of it, it would provide an easy avenue to get to SE - book a whole row of discounted seats on a flight to asia - stretch out, enjoy the flight, and get to SE with 1 flight.
PS Welcome to FT!
I believe the Economy Seat Challenged pax are charged a discounted rate for the second seat, so they would not receive the points. But in this instance you should???

I was kinda thinking the same thing...
I'll post the results from aeroplan when they are available.

Yes, it would be interesting to see, how does it decide which one you get, e.g. what if you flew both J with CoS bonus and discounted one without it?
Just wondering how you got 50%+ for COS as initially it was a Latitude pass fare and those only earn 100% status miles - none for the upgrade?
Thank you Andrew! Didn't see the Latitude/J-upgrade spiel on the AC.com site but I'll take your word for it. :)

And what happened? This was back in April.
Inquiring minds want to know :)
I never thought of this with expiring items. :o

Sorry for the delay - I forgot to post follow-up.
I only received credit for one of the 2 seats. So only 750 status miles, 500 + 250 for J. I called Aeroplan to find out why and after having to explain several times what I had done, I was told that you can only get credit for one seat per flight.
I did have lots of extra room on that flight.
And once upgraded to J you can change to another flight with J space, even if the original fare class is not available.

I would think you would get credit for both.
Let us know. And Welcome to FT
Latitude pass upgrades are booked in J and J earns 50% COS bonus.
